The 2:1 Aspect Ratio & 3-Piece Precision Slate Bed
- True 2:1 Geometry: Every regulation pool and snooker table is constructed such that the length of the playing surface between the rubber cushion noses is exactly twice the width. This ensures that bank shot geometric angles and diamond aiming systems remain perfectly uniform regardless of table size.
- Diamond-Honed Slate: Tournament beds consist of three precision-matched Brazilian or Italian slate slabs bolted to a solid hardwood frame, leveled with shims, and joined with melted beeswax or automotive filler before being covered with worsted wool cloth (such as Simonis 860).
