It is the industrial standard for legal briefs, financial prospectuses, and thick catalog binding.

The 24/6 staple (standardized under DIN 7405) is the primary European office stapler standard, featuring a 24-gauge wire (approx. 0.51 mm diameter) with a 6 mm leg length and 12.7 mm crown width. Utilizing thicker steel wire than 26/6, it provides superior column strength to penetrate dense, high-grammage coated paper without leg buckling.

The 26/6 staple (standardized under DIN 7405) is the most common standard for desktop office staplers worldwide. The numbering designates a 26-gauge wire (approx. 0.40 mm diameter) with a 6 mm (1/4 inch) leg length and a 12.7 mm (1/2 inch) crown width, engineered to fasten 20 to 30 sheets of standard 80 gsm paper.

The Binder Clip (Foldback Clip, invented by Louis E. Baltzley in 1910) is a reusable sheet fastener consisting of a tempered spring-steel triangular clamp and two collapsible nickel-plated wire loops. Available in standardized widths from Micro (1/2" / 13 mm, 30 sheets) to Extra Large (2" / 51 mm, 240+ sheets), it binds thick documents securely without punching holes or damaging paper fibers.

Brass Fasteners (also known as Paper Brads or Split Pins) are malleable metal binding pins featuring a round domed head and two flexible flat prongs. Sized from 0.5 inches (13 mm) to 2.0 inches (51 mm), they are passed through punched holes and spread flat against the back of the document, serving as the industry standard for Hollywood film screenplay binding.

The No. 10 staple (standardized under Japanese JIS S 6036 and international formats as 10-1M) is the premier compact staple format measuring 9.3 mm crown width and 4.8 mm leg length. Engineered for compact, pocket, and ergonomic palm staplers, it is the dominant everyday staple in Japan and across East Asia.

The Gem Paper Clip (introduced by The Gem Manufacturing Company in the 1890s) is a single looped piece of galvanized spring-steel wire that binds loose sheets using torsional elastic deflection. Available in standard No. 1 (33 mm / 1.3 in) and Jumbo (50 mm / 2.0 in) sizes, alongside specialized Butterfly/Trefoil wire clamps for thick 50-sheet reports.

Two-Prong Metal Paper Fasteners (standardized with a 2.75-inch / 69.85 mm center-to-center prong spacing) are heavy-gauge tin-plated steel compressors used with self-adhesive prong bases inside classification folders, legal case files, and medical patient charts to secure up to 500 hole-punched sheets.
