Coffee filters standardize conical and flat-bottom geometries. Cone filters span #1 (single cup) to #4 (standard 8–12 cup home drip), flat-bottom basket filters feature a 3.25" base, and Chemex bonded filters provide 20–30% greater paper density to trap cafestol oils.

Standard canned food containers are designated by trade size numbers (#10, #5, #2½, #2, #303) and 3-digit industry dimensional codes, where the first digit represents whole inches and the next two represent sixteenths of an inch (e.g. 603 × 700 = 6-3/16" dia × 7" height).

Reclosable food storage bags are standardized into Snack, Sandwich, Quart (0.94 L), Gallon (3.78 L), and Two-Gallon sizes. Standard storage bags use 1.5–1.75 mil film, while Heavy Duty Freezer bags use 2.25–2.7 mil polyethylene to prevent freezer burn.

Mason canning jars are standardized by opening diameter into Regular Mouth (70 mm / 2.75") and Wide Mouth (86 mm / 3.38"), with capacities ranging from 4 oz jelly jars to 64 oz half-gallons adhering to strict USDA headspace specifications.
