EU accession forced Denmark to stop requiring Type K for imported grounded appliances in the early 1990s, and Type F (Schuko) sockets are now legally permitted in Danish homes, with Type K expected to be gradually phased out in favor of the pan-European standard over time.
One real hazard worth knowing: plugging a Type E or Type F plug into a Danish Type K socket can seat physically but makes no ground connection at all, since Type K's earth pin sits in a different position from either -- a documented shock risk for travelers assuming round 2-pin plugs are broadly interchangeable across Europe.
