Dual-Number Thickness Architecture & GBS Seams

  • Torso Core vs. Limb Flexibility (3/2 mm & 4/3 mm): A 4/3 mm wetsuit uses 4 mm neoprene across the chest, back, and lumbar regions to protect internal core body temperature from conductive thermal loss, while using 3 mm neoprene on the shoulders, arms, and legs to preserve paddling stroke range of motion.
  • GBS vs. Liquid-Taped Seams: Standard flatlock stitching pierces completely through the rubber, admitting cold water flushes. Glued and Blindstitched (GBS) seams penetrate only halfway through the neoprene from one side before being sealed with vulcanized elastic seam tape.
