Official badminton courts are regulated by the Badminton World Federation (BWF Laws of Badminton Section 1). The rectangular court measures 13.40 m (44.0 ft) in length. Singles play uses a width of 5.18 m (17.0 ft), while doubles play utilizes the full 6.10 m (20.0 ft) width. The net is suspended from posts 1.55 m (5 ft 1 in) high and dips slightly to 1.524 m (5 ft 0 in) at the center.

Official baseball diamonds are regulated by Major League Baseball (MLB Official Baseball Rules Rule 2.01). The infield is a 90 × 90 ft (27.43 × 27.43 m) square rotated 45 degrees. The pitcher's rubber is located exactly 60 ft 6 in (18.44 m) from the back tip of home plate on a mound raised 10 in (25.4 cm). Regulation outfield fences typically range from 325–350 ft at the foul poles to 400+ ft in center field.

Official basketball courts are standardized by the NBA (94 × 50 ft / 28.65 × 15.24 m) and FIBA (28.0 × 15.0 m / 91.86 × 49.21 ft). Across all governing bodies, the basketball rim is mounted strictly at 10 ft (3.048 m) above the court with an 18 in (45.7 cm) diameter. The 3-point line measures 23.75 ft (7.24 m) in the NBA and 6.75 m (22.15 ft) under FIBA rules.

Official cricket pitches are regulated by MCC Law 6 and the ICC Standard Playing Conditions. The central pitch is a rectangular strip measuring exactly 22.0 yards (66.0 ft / 20.12 m) between bowling creases (wickets) and 10.0 ft (3.05 m) in width. The wickets comprise 3 wooden stumps standing 28.0 in (71.1 cm) high with a total width of 9.0 in (22.9 cm), topped by two wooden bails.

Official American football fields are governed by the NFL and NCAA rulebooks. The playing field is a rectangle measuring 120.0 yards (360 ft / 109.7 m) in total length by 53⅓ yards (160 ft / 48.8 m) in width, comprising a 100-yard playing field bounded by two 10-yard end zones. Goalposts feature a crossbar 10 ft (3.05 m) above the field, with upright widths of 18.5 ft (5.64 m) in the NFL/NCAA.

Official ice hockey rinks are standardized by the NHL (200 × 85 ft / 60.96 × 25.91 m) and the IIHF (60.0 × 30.0 m / 196.85 × 98.43 ft). The playing surface is enclosed by 40–48 in dasher boards and tempered safety glass. Goal nets measure 6.0 ft (1.83 m) wide by 4.0 ft (1.22 m) high by 40 in deep, centered on goal lines 11.0 ft (3.35 m) from the end boards.

Official competition swimming pools are regulated by World Aquatics (formerly FINA Swimming Facilities Rules). An Olympic-standard long-course pool measures exactly 50.020 m in length (50.00 m with touchpad timing plates installed), 25.0 m in width across 10 lanes (8 active lanes of 2.50 m with two 2.50 m outer wave-buffer lanes), and a uniform depth of 2.0–3.0 m. Water temperature is held strictly at 25.0–28.0 °C (77–82.4 °F).

Official padel courts are enclosed playing areas governed by the International Padel Federation (FIP Regulations Part 1). The court measures exactly 20.0 m (65.62 ft) in length by 10.0 m (32.81 ft) in width, enclosed by walls of 10–12 mm toughened glass and electro-welded wire mesh. The net measures 10 m in length, hanging 88 cm at center and 92 cm at the side posts.

Official pickleball courts are regulated by USA Pickleball (USAP Rule 2.A). The court has identical outer dimensions for both singles and doubles: 44.0 ft (13.41 m) in length by 20.0 ft (6.10 m) in width. The non-volley zone ('the kitchen') extends 7.0 ft (2.13 m) on either side of the net. The net hangs 36 in (91.4 cm) at the sideline posts and 34 in (86.4 cm) at the center.

Official outdoor running tracks are regulated by World Athletics (Track and Field Facilities Manual). The standard 400 m Standard Oval consists of two semicircles of 36.50 m inner radius joined by two straightaways of 84.39 m. An 8-to-9 lane track features lanes 1.22 m (4.0 ft) in width, with the 400 m distance measured precisely along the 30 cm measurement line of Lane 1.

Official soccer pitch dimensions are governed by IFAB Law 1 and FIFA Stadium Guidelines. For international matches, standard field dimensions are 105 m (115 yd) in length by 68 m (75 yd) in width (7,140 m²). Goal dimensions are strictly 7.32 m (8.0 yd / 24 ft) wide by 2.44 m (8.0 ft) high, situated in a penalty area measuring 40.32 × 16.5 m (44 × 18 yd).

Official tennis courts are standardized by the International Tennis Federation (ITF Rule 1). The rectangular court measures 78.0 ft (23.77 m) in length. Singles courts are 27.0 ft (8.23 m) wide; doubles courts are 36.0 ft (10.97 m) wide (doubles alleys 4.5 ft / 1.37 m). The net is suspended at 3.5 ft (1.07 m) at the posts and pulled taut to exactly 3.0 ft (0.914 m / 36 in) at the center strap.

Official volleyball courts are standardized by the FIVB (Official Volleyball Rules Rule 1 & 2). The indoor court is a symmetrical 18.0 × 9.0 m (59.06 × 29.53 ft) rectangle surrounded by a free zone. The net stands 2.43 m (7 ft 11⅝ in) high for men and 2.24 m (7 ft 4⅛ in) for women, marked by an attack line 3.0 m from the centerline (defining the front row). Beach courts measure 16.0 × 8.0 m.
