Dining tables standardize perimeter clearances allocating 24 inches (61 cm) of linear elbow width per seated person. Standard table heights measure 28–30 inches (71–76 cm) paired with an 18–19 inch chair height and 36-inch minimum wall clearance.

Dinnerware plates standardize diameters for table place settings, ranging from 6–7" Bread & Butter plates and 8–9" salad/dessert plates to 10–11" standard dinner plates and 12–14" formal charger underplates.

Barware and dining glassware standardize fluid capacities and bowl geometries across 10–14 oz Highball glasses, 8–10 oz Rocks glasses, 18–22 oz Bordeaux red wine glasses, 12–14 oz white wine stems, and 1.5 oz standard cocktail jiggers.

Tablecloth dimensions are calculated by adding twice the desired drop length to the table's width and length. Standard drops measure 6–8 inches for casual dining, 10–12 inches for formal dinner service, and 30 inches for floor-length banquets.
