Head Styles

Button Head Cap Screws (BHCS, standardized under ISO 7380) feature a low-profile rounded dome with a wide load-bearing base and an internal hex or Torx drive recess. Designed for applications requiring a smooth, snag-free finish and low vertical clearance, they provide clean aesthetics on exposed consumer products, 3D printers, and automotive interiors.

Flat Head (Countersunk / CSK, standardized under ISO 7046 and DIN 965) screws feature a flat top face and a conical tapered underside (90° in ISO Metric, 82° in US Imperial, 100° in Aerospace). Designed to seat inside a matching chamfered hole, the head sits 100% flush with or slightly below the surface of the joined material.

Hex Head Bolts (standardized under ISO 4014 / DIN 931 for partially threaded bolts and ISO 4017 / DIN 933 for fully threaded tap bolts) feature a 6-sided external polygon head driven by open-end wrenches, box wrenches, or ratcheting sockets. It is the global benchmark for high-torque heavy structural and automotive clamping.

Pan Head screws (standardized under ISO 7045 and DIN 7985) feature a low-profile rounded top, vertical cylindrical outer sidewalls, and a flat horizontal bottom bearing surface. Providing clean aesthetics and strong clamping force without cutting into workpiece materials, it is the most common machine screw head in electronics and appliance assembly.

Socket Head Cap Screws (SHCS, standardized under DIN 912 and ISO 4762) feature a compact cylindrical head whose height is approximately equal to the screw shank diameter, housing a deep internal hexagonal (Allen) or Torx socket. Wafer Head screws (Modified Truss / K-Lath / Framing Screws) feature an ultra-flat, razor-thin head with an integrated wide circular clamping rim and a flat underside.
