Standard classifications include Single Ropes (8.5–10.2 mm diameter, tested with an 80 kg mass to withstand ≥ 5 UIAA factor-1.77 falls with maximum impact force ≤ 12.0 kN), Half Ropes (7.1–9.0 mm, tested with 55 kg mass, ≥ 5 falls, max impact force ≤ 8.0 kN), and Twin Ropes (6.9–8.0 mm, tested paired with 80 kg, ≥ 12 falls, max impact force ≤ 12.0 kN). Static ropes are certified under EN 1891 Type A/B for caving and rescue.
